Chinese Dance

I began my artistic journey at the age of 3 with Chinese dance, specializing in ethnic and classical Chinese dance. By the age of 12, I had achieved the prestigious Level 10 Certificate in Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance from the China Dancers Association, a testament to my dedication and skill. I have performed the solo piece An Ode to the Flower Lotus at multiple events, including the Zhejiang University Summer Camp Closing Event, Peking University Summer Camp Closing Event, the Double Ninth Festival at a nursing home for the aged, and the Soh Bing Scholarship Summer Camp Closing Event. Currently, I continue to explore the essence of Chinese dance as a member of the NUS Chinese Dance Club.

An Ode to the Flower Lotus

This is my signature piece, one that I have had the honor of performing on five different stages. It is a Tao Li Bei composition, inspired by the timeless poem An Ode to the Flower Lotus. This poem holds a special place in my heart, particularly the line, "Emerging unstained from the mud, yet unadorned after being cleansed by clear ripples. (出淤泥而不染,濯清涟而不妖)" These words resonate deeply with me and have become a guiding principle in my life.
